Last year the school district had 8,097 but this year they have 8,007.
The quote from the superintendent claims this is "moving in that direction" and "hope they continue that trend". Which is weird since the enrollment numbers are dropping, is this the trend you want to continue and move in that direction.
If somehow 8,007 is an increase in enrollment compared to last year's 8,097 then we can see why so many of our students cannot pass a Math test at grade level.
Also last year the school board claimed the demographics predicted 8,051 not 7,926. So in perfect fashion claiming the school expected 7,926 and had more students to get to 8,007, but this is both lower than anticipated from last year and absolutely lower than the number last year. So the school district keeps moving the goalposts to show a victory, while we continually lose more and more students.
