The school district has many many problems that need to be solved and none involve the referendum.
If the school district cannot handle basic services, why would anyone give them more money?
The schools are unsafe, the teachers are powerless to solve behavior issues, the district policies encourage violence, fights are common, the school resource officers are pulled, and nothing in the referendum will correct any of these problems
The school districts around Mankato are bussing students to their schools as students flee the district to better schools.
A majority of students cannot read or write at grade level. The district should stop everything and get the basic function of schools back on track. If the students cannot read or write, why focus on irrelevant curriculum and policies.
District 77 is already wasteful, and tossing good money after bad money is not a wise use of resources.
The school district should first fix the problems within the district and after solving the problems, THEN ask for a referendum.
