As the school board is trying to ask for the voters to approve more money as they waste lots of money with frivolous, divisive or questionable curriculum and policies
Curriculum
The students can't perform on the MCA math or reading tests, over half are not proficient at grade level, but the school board is focusing on divisive, questionable and frivolous curriculum.
Policies
As the school board has bigger fish to fry they are concerning themselves with cell phone usage in schools. This would be considered a good idea in that the district wide policy would be consistent, but a school board member immediately commented that the policy should be enforced through the lens of "equity", which means enforcement of the policy will be dependent upon the person violating the policy, some students would be members of a population deemed to be underprivileged and thus not subject to enforcement or lesser enforcement than members of privileged populations.
